Brosnan's to make a Wise novel film

Brosnan to turn Wise novel into film
Irish Dreamtime along with Maloof Motion Pictures will produce The Big Biazarro a novel by Leonard Wise, who'll star Pierce Brosnan. MMP will be financing development of the film and Vondie Curtis-Hall will be directing and script the feature. This drama is set in a high-stakes world of international gambling, and Brosnan will play an elusive veteran card player who mentors a headstrong but talented protege. This feature will be the second one to be developed by the Maloof family, owners of Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and the NBA's Sacramento Kings, their first feature was Feast. Andrew Jameson who runs MMP for the Maloof clan was introduced to the project by Beau St. Clair when their offices were in the same Santa Monica building. Both Pierce Brosnan and Irish Dreamtime partner Beau St Clair will be producing along with Phil Maloof and Andrew Jameson. Curtis-Hall had helmed episodes of The Shield and Sleeper Cell. Irish Dreamtime have been productive, producing films such as The Matador and an upcoming dark thriller in which Brosnan stars with Gerard Butler and Maria Bello and is currently developing a sequel to The Thomas Crown Affair among other projects. MMP Jameson, wants to get more active and be instrumental in developing a project, once they get a script and star they'll involve a distribution partner. Brosnan recently starred in Seraphim Falls and stars next in Butterfly on a Wheel with Maria Bello and Gerard Butler. Variety reports that Pierce Brosnan will be headline his own poker movie, an adaption of Leonard Wise's novel The Big Biazarro. Pierce's company Irish Dreamtime will be collaborat with the Maloof Motion Pictures to develop this film. This movie will be be based on following a mysterious stranger - played by Brosnan - who takes on a talented protege in the high-stakes world of international gambling. The former James Bond, while not getting Casino Royale, will headline his own poker film based on an adaption of Leonard Wise's novel 'The Big Biazarro'. Brosnan's company Irish Dreamtime will be collaborating with Maloof Motion Pictures reports Variety. Leonard Wise's Novel The Big Biazarro Heads to the Big Screen
Pierce Brosnan and Beau St. Clair's Irish Dreamtime Productions and The Maloof family's Maloof Motion Pictures are teaming up to produce a film adaption of Leonard Wise's novel The Big Biazarro. Brosnan will not only produce but is set to star in this feature which takes place in the world of high stakes gambling. He will play as an expert card player who takes on the job of mentoring a "headstrong but talented protege.". Phil Maloof said in a press release, "We have a great deal of respect for Pierce and Beau's creative instincts, and are thrilled to be in business with them. Andrew Jameson from MMP also added, "Given the connection between the subject matter and the Maloof family interest in gaming, this project made perfect sense for us." St Clair was quoted as saying, "Adapting Leonard Wise's classic novel has been a major priority for Irish Dreamtime, with Vondie's vision and the Maloof's passion for this realm, we plan to take the audience on a wild ride into the international world of high rollers." Irish Dreamtime past releases include with Brosnan toplining, Thomas Crown Affair and The Matador.
